Civic Center Rental

RENTALS
 

The Meeting Room is approximately 939 sq. feet and has stadium type seating for 72 people. This room is perfect for meetings and presentations. There is a coffee bar area, podium, chalkboards and presentation screen.

Rental Fees:

  • Local Tax Supported:  City of Drain & Political Gov. Groups (Senators, Representatives for Town Hall Meetings) - No Charge
  • Special Districts:  Parks & Recreation, N.D. Schools, Colleges - No Charge
  • Local Nonprofits:  Tops, Scouts, Churches, AA, VFW, Diva, Lions, Grange, N.D. Fair Board, Chamber of Commerce, PTO/PTA, Friends of the Library - $12.00 for 2 hours
  • Special Occasions:  Birthdays, Receptions, Anniversaries, Memorial Services, School Reunions, Graduation Parties, For-Profit Fundraisers (2 hour min.) - $25.00 (1st hour), $12.00 (each add'l hour)
  • Businesses:  All Stores, Restaurants, Realtors & all Commercial & Industrial Businesses, etc. - $25.00 (1st hour), $12.00 (each add'l hour)
  • Non-Local:  Sheriff's Dept. & Red Cross - No Charge
  • Non-Local:  COG's, Political Groups & Individuals (Gov.) & other State (ODOT) & County Functions - $25.00 (1st hour), $12.00 (each add'l hour)
  • Multiple Events Monthly Rate - $50.00 a month for 2 hours every week

 

The Community Hall  has a 2464 sq. foot multi-use room with a platform stage and kitchen area. The rental fee includes the use of the kitchen area including the coffee pot, ice machine, refrigerator, stove and microwave. There is however  an additional $50 charge to use the dishes, silverware and pots and pans. Also available for use are 12 – 5’ round tables, 28 -  3’ x 8’ Tables and 220 chairs.

Wedding Package   All weddings and receptions are required to purchase the Civic Center Bridal Package. The rental fee includes the use of the Community Hall and Kitchen (no cookware, utensils or table settings) for 1/2 day on the day before the event and the full day of the event. It also includes the Meeting Room for the full day of the event. 

 

Rental Fees:  

  • $750.00 for Drain Resident
  • $1,000.00 for non-Drain Resident

 

All reservations for use of the Center shall be on a first come first served basis and shall be made in writing on an application provided by the City. Rental time includes the time needed for set-up and clean-up

 

DEPOSITS 
 

Key Deposit $50.00 
A deposit shall be required of all users checking out a key to the Center. Deposits shall be refunded after return of the key to City Hall. Groups holding regularly scheduled meetings at the Center may leave a deposit "on file". 

Outside Pavilion Restroom - $20.00 Key Deposit

Cleaning Deposit: 

  • Meeting Room $ 40.00 
  • Community Hall $120.00
  • Bridal Package $160.00

 All users of the Drain Civic Center shall pay a deposit and provide clean up. The deposit will be returned after areas used have been inspected and approved. Any group or individual using the building will be responsible for leaving it in good order (per checklist provided). Failure to do so will forfeit the deposit.

RENTAL FEES AND DEPOSITS ARE DUE IN FULL AT THE TIME OF SCHEDULING.

50% OF THE TOTAL RENTAL FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE ON ANY CANCELLATIONS.

BASIC CONTROLS 

  • Use will be denied or revoked immediately, to any organization, if there is any indication of rental under false pretext, or that the facilities will be used for, or to promote, illegal activities.
  • Use will be denied or revoked, for any activity, prohibiting admission on the basis of race, religion, ethnic groups, sex or national origin.
  • Use will be denied or revoked, for any additional activity, by the same sponsor, if the charges for a previous activity, has not been paid or a financial report has not been submitted.
  • No alcoholic beverage, or drugs, will be allowed. Users and groups will be excluded from further use.
  • No smoking or chewing tobacco allowed in any portion of the building.
  • The sale of tools and equipment that could damage floors in the building is prohibited.  Table and chairs must remain inside the building at all times.

Tables and chairs must be put up, floors swept, restrooms cleaned, trash removed, kitchen appliances turned off, kitchenware cleaned & stored, cabinet doors locked, all lights off and interior/exterior doors locked.
