Administration

The City of Drain operates with a five member elected mayor and council with the City Administrator running the day-to-day operations of the city. 

Per the City Charter, the City Administrator's job is as follows:

Prepare the annual budget;
Make all purchases;
Oversee enforcement of all ordinances;
Act as business agent for the council for the sale of real estate and other matters relating to franchises, leases, and other business and property transactions;
Prepare and furnish all reports requested by the council;
Perform such other duties as the council directs.
