Cemeteries

The city perpetually maintains two cemeteries within the city, the East Drain and North Drain Cemeteries.  

East Drain Cemetery

East Drain Cemetery is located on Cemetery Road off of Alta Vista Ave.  The East Cemetery is divided into two sections.  Within the old section (IOOF Cemetery) rests several of the town's founders and pioneers, including the Drain family.  The new section is a modern style cemetery with flat stones and a columbarium memorial.  

North Drain Cemetery

The North Drain Cemetery is located off of Commercial Ave. one block from N. First St.  Like the East Cemetery old section, many of the town's early residents are buried in this cemetery.
