The financial operations of the City of Drain are planned and directed by the Finance Department. It establishes and sustains controls over the city's financial activities and provides accurate, timely financial information to the city council, budget committee and city administrator. Finance coordinates the annual budget preparation and administration in accordance with Oregon Budget Law. The department analyzes the city's financial condition, insures compliance with tax laws and bond covenants. Finally, it recommends financial policies to the city administrator and council. It maintains the integrity of the city's accounting records and facilitates the annual audit.
