The City Council meets the second Monday of each month. The role of the City Councilor is to "Attend all City Council meetings and guide the decision making process based on previously agreed upon vision, mission, goals, and objectives."
The City of Drain has four City Councilors and a Mayor. The Mayor is elected to two year terms while the Councilors are elected to four year terms. The Councilors are elected the November of even number years and are sworn in first meeting in January. Before the first meeting the Councilors will receive instruction on the obligations, benefits, and responsibilities that encompass the position of City Councilor.
Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m., Drain Civic Center, 205 West "A" Avenue
